Chapter three
Spike picked up a book off the table and
thumbed through it, she leaned back against
him no longer able to deny that there was
somthing there. He began to read softly.
To know for an hour you were mine completely-
mine in body and soul, my own-
I would bear unending torture sweetly,
With not a murmur or a moan."
He gazed down at her, she snuggled closer,
feeling safer then she had in a long time.
"Thanks, that was sweet. I have a small
confession to make." she smiled at him.
"Confess then" he said with a smile.
"I have always loved your accent!" she
grinned at him.
"I finally have something up on Angel" He
smiled back. He kissed her long and hard
she accepted it eagerly, with a need she
had forgotten. It would have been a perfect
moment if Druscilla had not decided to make
her entrance back into Spikes life at that
exact moment.
Druscilla barged through the door, seeing
Spike in a clench with another woman, but
not knowing who it was. She screamed his
name.
Buffy and Spike both turned to see her flying
towards them. Spike jumped up to deflect the
punch she aimed at Buffy. "The Slayer Spike,
How low will you sink? First you betray
Angelus with her, now me?" she asked shaking
with anger. Spike still had a strong grip on
her arm.
"Betrayal, Dru you left me for the first Angel
lookalike you found" he snarled at her.
"That was out of hurt, this is out of...LOVE!,
You love her Spike, I feel it, you love her!"
She spit the words out in bitter disbelief.
"You love her"
Buffy still sat on the couch she was speechless.
She wondered "Was it possible? Could he love her"
Spike twisted Drus arm and stared hard at her.
"Dru I am saying this once and only once. Come
near her again and I will kill you. I will do
it, make no mistake, I will." he said maliciously.
Buffy stared at him his words chilled her to the
bone. He was threatening Dru for her. It was
almost unimaginable.
Dru was also staring at him, she looked almost
frightened. She realized he meant it, she backed
off quietly and left the mansion, mumbling to
herself.
